Zimbabwe’s now high rising and outstanding Chief Executive Officer from the remote Agro Town of Gokwe, Jabulani Gute has proved beyond reasonable doubt that the word remote is only meaningful if one is not shining in the darkness of the situation.
Jabulani Gute now the proud winner for the third time in a raw, has done it for the people of Gokwe and collectively the province of Zimbabwe’s Midlands, with outstanding awards that will forever put Gokwe permanently on the world map for successful work and outstanding achievements for the remote Midlands provincial town.
Gute is the proud winner of the following achievements for his hardworking in Gokwe, Midlands 2024 CEO winner of the year, in Diamond, Gold and Platnum winner CEO of the year 2025, becoming the golden national winner of the year ahead of all CEOs in the country.
Gute is also the outstanding winner of the Local Authority leader of the year 2025, a national prize for achievers and outstanding leaders in local authorities’ divisions in the country.

Gokwe South RDC Holds First Full Council Meeting
Gokwe South Rural District Council successfully conducted its first full council meeting, bringing together council leadership, management, and councilors to deliberate on key issues affecting the district.
During the meeting, various matters concerning the operations and development of the council were discussed in detail. These included service delivery, revenue collection, infrastructure development, and community welfare.
The council also focused on mapping the way forward, outlining practical strategies and action plans to ensure effective implementation of council programs and policies. Emphasis was placed on accountability, teamwork, and improving service delivery to the communities of Gokwe South.
The meeting marked an important step in strengthening governance and ensuring that the council remains committed to fulfilling its mandate of serving the people efficiently and effectively.

Gokwe South RDC Holds Second Finance Committee Meeting 25 February 2026
Gokwe South Rural District Council convened its second Finance Committee meeting for the year 2026 to deliberate on key financial matters and strategic issues guiding the operations of the Council.
The meeting focused primarily on the review and approval of the 2026 budget, with members carefully assessing revenue projections, expenditure estimates, and departmental allocations to ensure alignment with the Council’s development priorities and service delivery mandate.
During the deliberations, the Committee emphasized:

Prudent financial management and accountability

Strengthening revenue collection mechanisms

Prioritization of capital projects and service delivery programs

Sustainable budgeting to support community development initiatives
The Finance Committee also discussed other pertinent issues affecting the smooth running of the Council, including resource mobilization strategies, cost containment measures, and the implementation status of ongoing projects.
Members reaffirmed their commitment to transparency, efficiency, and responsible governance in steering the Council forward. The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap aimed at enhancing financial stability and improving service delivery across the district.
